Anyone who wants to learn more about web accessibility can enroll. Whether you’re a web designer, developer, content manager, project manager, a webshop owner or maybe a government official, the content we offer is of value for all of you.
You don’t need any prior knowledge about web accessibility to follow our courses labeled with the level Beginner. For courses labeled Medior or Master we recommend to follow first a basic course in that particular field. If you want to follow the masterclass Aria for example, then make sure to follow the course Accessible code, the basics first.
You can follow any course. Just pick what suits best in your situation. Are you for example a designer, then we recommend to enroll in a course that focuses on accessible design. If you, however, also want to learn more about accessible code or content, just enroll in those courses as well. Don’t be too picky 🙂
Enroll in courses that suit your level of knowledge. If web accessibility is new for you, then first enroll in our beginners courses and thereafter in our medior of master courses. We recommend everyone to follow our course Web accessibility, the basics first. That helps you to put the other courses in perspective.

‘A11Y’ is shorthand for Accessibility. It is a numeronym. The 11 represents the number of letters between te A and the Y. It is a commonly used term on the Internet to address accessibility, a term that a lot of people find difficult to pronounce or to spell. A11Y (pronounce it like ‘Ellie’) is then a bit easier. So in fact, the A11Y Collective means: the accessibility collective. We are all about accessibility!
